OUR MISSION……
Home Link Trust, Inc. offers state-of-the-art neurobehavioral intervention services for people with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries. Our goal is to help both children and adults adapt to the functional activities of daily life.
• With the aid of direct observation and motivation 
assessment scales, we determine the purpose served by maladaptive behaviors.
• We use Barbe Modality checklists to determine participant’s best/optimal learning modalities and design our intervention methods accordingly.
• We address challenging behaviors through the use of pro-active measures, least restrictive procedures and Positive social interaction.
• We handle stereotypical/obsessive behaviors by converting them to socially acceptable behaviors or differentially reinforcing incompatible behaviors or using the behaviors as reinforcers to teach specific skills of social significance to the participants.
• We assess participant’s communication skills through direct observation/social interaction to identify deficits in non-verbal areas such as gaze, gesture, use of space, expression of emotions etc and verbal skills such as language loss/delay, repetition of same word, use of odd languages. We address these difficulties through play therapy, imitation, modeling, functional communication training and picture exchange communication system (PECS).
